Maasai Cultural Day Tour

The Maasai are known for their ability to live along with wild animals. It is not different at the Olpopongi Maasai village. There are a number of wild animals around the village,

Olpopongi Village Tour
Olpopongi is an authentic Maasai village located 74 km from Moshi town and 85 km from Arusha town.
Olpopongi village also has a Maasai museum, which contains artifacts and stories of the evolution of the Maasai people and its communities.
The Maasai are known for their ability to live along with wild animals. It is not different at the Olpopongi Maasai village. There are a number of wild animals around the village.
The village has over 5 traditional huts known as Manyattas.

West Kilimanjaro Tour
West Kilimanjaro is a lesser-known tourist destination in Tanzania, located near the border with Kenya on the west side of Mount Kilimanjaro. This area has stunning landscapes. West Kilimanjaro has one of the gates that Mount Kilimanjaro climbers use. The famous gate is called Lemosho gate, located in Lemosho village.
The area offers great scenic drive. If you are lucky you may spot wild animals along the way plus have a great view of Mount Kilimanjaro.
The area is famous for cultural tours, hiking and biking.
Itinerary
This is a one-day tour, which will start by picking you up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi. After about 1.5 hours drive from Moshi or 2 hours drive from Arusha town, we will arrive at Olpopongi village.
The West Kilimanjaro area, where Olpopongi village is located, is an interesting place to be, with wonderful landscapes. On clear days, you may have great views of Mount Kilimanjaro while you are there.
On arrival, you will be welcome by a traditional welcome dance from the Maasai women and men. You will be introduced to your guide and start your tour at the village.
Local lunch will be served in the afternoon for you. At around 4 PM we will start our drive back to Arusha/ Moshi.
