In this five-day Big Five safari, we are going to explore the iconic landscapes and abundant wildlife of Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park. This curated itinerary promises unforgettable encounters with majestic animals in their natural habitats with a mission to find Africa’s big five – rhino, elephant, lion, leopard and buffalo. We will start by descending into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a self-contained world teeming with the Big Five.
Next, we will venture into the vast Serengeti National Park. Keep an eye out for thrilling predator-prey interactions, with lions, cheetahs, and leopards prowling the savannah in search of their next meal. Over three full days, embark on exhilarating game drives, immersing yourself in the sights and sounds of the Serengeti. Itinerary
Day 1: Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater
Prepare for an extraordinary day as we venture into the mesmerizing Ngorongoro Crater for a thrilling game drive. As we descend into the caldera, you will be greeted by a world unlike any other, where wildlife roams freely amidst stunning landscapes. Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder teeming with wildlife will surely give you unforgettable experience. Into the caldera, you will witness lions, elephants, and zebras roam freely. Later in the day, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at hippo pool, amidst breathtaking scenery.
After lunch, we will ascend the crater ready for a transfer to Serengeti National Park.As you leave the crater area, the landscape gradually changes, transforming into vast open plains and rolling hills, characteristic of the Serengeti. The drive itself is an adventure, allowing you to soak in the beauty of Tanzania’s untamed wilderness
It will be game viewing on the way as we head from Ngorongoro conservation Area to your accommodation in the Serengeti.
Day 2,3 and 4: Full day game drive in the Serengeti
Awaken to the gentle sounds of the Serengeti, a chorus of birdsong and the rustling of the grasses. After a hearty breakfast, we will be ready to embark on an exhilarating full day game drive, allowing you to make the most of your time in this wildlife paradise.
As you venture deeper into the Serengeti, you will witness nature’s extraordinary theater unfold before your eyes. The endless plains come alive with an incredible array of wildlife, from majestic lions prowling the grasslands to graceful giraffes elegantly moving between acacia trees. Enjoy a delectable picnic lunch amidst the dramatic landscapes of the Serengeti, allowing you to savor the flavors while being surrounded by the very essence of the wild.
As the day ends, relish a breathtaking sunset over the Serengeti, capturing the vibrant hues of the African sky. Return to Osinon Camps where a delectable dinner awaits, providing a chance to recount the day’s thrilling adventures and share stories under the starlit African night.
Day 5 Serengeti half day then transfer to Arusha/Airport
As the sun begins to cast its golden rays over the Serengeti, embark on a final morning game drive, bidding farewell to this extraordinary wilderness. This last adventure allows you to soak in the beauty of the Serengeti one last time, as you search for elusive wildlife and capture those unforgettable moments through your camera lens.
As we leave the Serengeti for Arusha, we will take you on a route that offers abundant opportunities for game viewing along the way.
